Blanche tells Stella that she wants Mitch and that she is nervous because he is coming over to take her out and she is worried because she wants him to like her and she doesn't want him to think she is old. Stanley confronts Blanche asking her if she knows a a man named Shaw from the Flamingo hotel. Blanche tells him that the man must have her confused. Blanche is obviously lying, because right after Stanley leaves Blanches cries out to Stella asking her what she has heard about her. Stella leave Blanche at home to go to the bowling alley where Stanley is because Blanche is waiting for Mitch to get her. But while Blanche is waiting a young man collecting for the paper come by and Blanche being the woman that she is she can't resist so she kisses the young man than send him on his way.
